Digital printingis a printing technique using digital or electronic files from a personal computer or other digital storage devices as a source. Digital printing does not rely on a press plate to carry the image and also does not require any rotograuvre plate cost.

Small quantities-Say you have a coffee pouch you want to print, but you only want 500 pieces. It would cost a fortune to print them using a traditional rotogravure press. With digital printing, however, printing 500 pieces is much more economical. Once you get above about 1000pcs, it becomes more economical to print on an rotogravure press.
